There will be a few of these here & there, but people from North of England have certain super powers that the rest of the UK just do not possess (Although the Scots are a league of their own I will admit).

1. The Ability to Locate the Nearest Greggs Within a One-Mile Radius
Greggs is possibly the best pasty shop EVER, although Wiganers (The Pie Eating Champions of the world) would argue that it is Galloways (They are wrong).
*Galloways has a few local chains in and around Wigan….It’s local, because they’re shit. 🙂
Everyone has heard of Greggs though! They have everything: pasties, pies, turnovers, pulled pork & sausage rolls (That’s right, it’s a sausage roll, but with pulled pork instead!), Melts, Slices and THEY EVEN DO PIZZA AND IT’S SEXY 🙂
(Along with their cakes, meringues, gingerbread men, etc).
You’ll find a Greggs in ever little town centre you go to around Manchester, Bradford, Leeds, Newcastle, Sheffield, etc and a few plonked around the general area you are in too, us northerners bloody love it.
For the places where there is a bit more distance between them though, say London? (Or in the South generally I find there are not as many) …If you have a crave on for a Greggs Sausage, Bean & Cheese Melt, then grab your northern friend and (If you ask very nicely) they will tell you if there is a Greggs in the area, and if so, exactly where it is within 30 Seconds (Max)…Guaranteed 🙂
Just by sniffing them out – Honest! :’D
